Kappa Bar and Nordstan created gaming magic during the sports holiday – 15,000 visitors in five days
During winter break, Nordstan was transformed into an exciting gaming arena when Kappa Bar hosted a five-day pop-up featuring free games, competitions, and meet-and-greets with well-known figures from the esports and gaming worlds. The event, called “Esports Break Week,” attracted over 15,000 visitors and became one of the highlights for gaming-enthusiastic teens and families during the break.
Gaming for Everyone – A Winter Break Initiative for Young People
Nordstan and Kappa Bar wanted to offer a free and accessible activity for young people who couldn’t travel during winter break. Visitors had the chance to play freely on-site, participate in competitions, and meet both gaming personalities and sports stars. “Gaming is more than just games—it’s about community, creativity, and coming together across all possible boundaries. We wanted to create a place where everyone could participate regardless of their circumstances, and the response has been fantastic. We’d like to extend a big thank you to Nordstan for a great collaboration,” says Klas Bergqvist, COO of Kappa Bar.
